This retainer fits freely over a cylindrical shaft and when in position the face is flattened with a tubular applicator, thus ensuring a close and tight fit and the minimum of damage to the shaft. A particular application is with plastic shafts for car number plates, etc. Please note, the correct fitting position is points down and flange uppermost.
